New dongle offers best of both worlds

A new dongle device is promising broadband users the best of both worlds on the move.
Freedom4 have launched what claims to be UK's first integrated 3G and Wi-Fi mobile broadband service.
The plug-in USB stick selects the best method of connectivity in any given place at any given time.
As well as finding the best connection available on the move, the Mobile Broadband 1000 service also offers a Wi-Fi hotspot locator from Satellite Navigation Systems.
"We are committed to providing a high quality service and our research has shown that the new combined package can provide speeds significantly faster than other mobile broadband products in the marketplace," said Richard Cunliffe, chief operating officer at Freedom4 Wi-Fi.
After 600 connections were used to test the new service, it was found that speeds averaged out at 2.8Mb.
