T-Mobile enters netbook market
Posted 24th December 2008 at 10:00am by Alex Buttle
T-Mobile will enter the mobile broadband laptop bundle market when it launches a new offer on Boxing Day (Friday, December 26th).
The move signals a first foray into the netbook market by the provider, with rivals Vodafone and Orange already launching similar offers.
However, this is not the first laptop deal that T-Mobile has offered customers - the Asus netbook replaces the Acer laptop which used to be included in its deals.
Contracts ranging from 12 to 18 and 24 months will be available to customers looking for a mobile broadband package.
The device itself features a 0.3 mega pixel video camera, three hour battery life and 528MB of memory, as well as a rapid start-up time.
Those willing to pay £35 per month over a two-year period will be provided with a free Asus EEE PC ultra mobile PC, which normally retails at £219.95.
