Intro rates ended by Tiscali
Posted 21st January 2009 at 12:00pm by Alex Buttle
Tiscali will no longer offer reduced rates to customers signing up to its broadband internet packages.
A knocked-down monthly fee of £6.49 had been payable for the first quarter of contracts on Broadband Only deals.
This has now been cancelled, with those becoming Tiscali subscribers obliged to pay a standard £14.99 per month for the duration of their contracts.
Similarly, the Broadband, Weekend Talk and Line Rental deal, will now not come with a £9.99 introductory rate.
Commenting on the changes, which are in evidence on Tiscali's website, Broadband Choices Product Director Michael Phillips said that customers should not be deterred from checking out Tiscali's cheap broadband deals.
He said: "Although Tiscali has removed its introductory offers, its bundled packages remain very good value for money since they include line rental - saving customers at least £126 a year."
