NetGear unveils high-spec Wi-Fi router

NetGear's latest high-performance Wi-Fi router will be the first to feature a USB port for 3G mobile broadband dongles.
The new MBR624GU device was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week.
Som Pal Choudhury, NetGear senior product line manager for advanced wireless products, said: "The demand for network infrastructure to support faster speeds, extended range, more reliable connections and seamless streaming has skyrocketed.
"With our new industry-leading wireless router family, NetGear has answered this demand by providing consumers with the most advanced routers that are still cost-effective and energy efficient."
The new router has been unveiled alongside a host of other devices including the WNMR834 Wireless-N MoCA router and EVG834N Ethernet Voice Data Gateway.
Michael Clegg, vice president of NetGear's service provider business unit, said: "Our expanded portfolio of products augments their service offerings by enabling the end-user to distribute their digital content throughout their home network easily and securely."
