Film star Samuel L Jackson has been chosen by Virgin Media to star in advertisments for the provider's new 50Mb fibre-optic broadband service.
The Hollywood legend, of Pulp Fiction fame, will appear in a TV commercial set to appear on screens for the first time tomorrow night (Saturday, January 3rd), reports the Guardian.
According to the newspaper, the actor appears in front of a light display representing the next-generation network Virgin Media has planned for the UK.
"It is 2009," Jackson will say. "Remember the time when the internet revolution really happened."
Ashley Stockwell, Virgin Media'a managing director of brand and marketing, told the publication: "50Mb is a massive leap forward for the broadband market and promises to transform the way people interact and entertain themselves online."
Virgin Media launched its new offering, which is the fastest on the UK home broadband market, last month - coverage of its full network in Britain is expected by the end of the year.
