Be to back e-gamers
Posted 9th February 2009 at 4:00pm by Alex Buttle
Be Broadband continued its commitment to the UK's gaming community by sponsoring the UK eSports Association (UkeSA) in 2009.
The company is now the official broadband provider to the organisation, which runs competitions contested by the best gamers in the country.
According to Be Broadband Managing Director, Felix Geyr, the move is another demonstration that Be is a gamer-friendly provider.
He said: "Be has a close affinity to the UK's gaming community, which is shown through initiatives such as Be Gamer.
"We are genuinely excited by the steps UKeSA are taking to develop competitive eSports in the UK and are delighted to be able to show our commitment to gamers and gaming through being involved in this process."
Be anticipates being able to offer speeds of up to 50Mb in the not too distant future after successful testing of ADSL2+ broadband technology.
