O2 has been recognised as the best broadband provider for customer service by one broadband comparison site.

thinkbroadband.com's UK Broadband Survey on Customer Service has placed O2 top of the Large ISP category.

Also bagging podium finishes were Be Unlimited with the sliver medal and PlusNet, which took the bronze.

thinkbroadband.com Co-founder, Sebastian Lahtinen, said: "The satisfaction levels achieved by O2 and Be Unlimited are exceptional for a company of their size."

He continued: "Often consumers only consider price and the infamous 'up to' speeds in selecting which broadband service to subscribe to. It is refreshing to see a supplier of some of the fastest services in the country maintaining customer service and reliability levels so high."

Meanwhile, in the Niche ISP section, IDNet came up trumps, followed by Zen Internet and NewNet.
