PlusNet updates phone deals
Posted 14th April 2009 at 12:11pm by Alex Buttle
Broadband and landline provider PlusNet has revealed details of a new home phone package.
The changes include the first increase in line rental for two years, with the firm suggesting this is a result of an "increase at supplier level".
Line rental will now cost £10.95, with the Talk Evenings & Weekends tariff available for free, while the Talk Anytime Package is to cost £5 per month.
A statement on the changes read: "Talk Talk, Sky, The Post Office and Virgin have all recently announced price increases. We still offer the UK's lowest-priced stand-alone broadband and our packages are extremely competitive.
"We want to attract even more customers and we believe our pricing will enable us to do this."
PlusNet's recent broadband connections fault survey revealed that 59 per cent of customers were "very or extremely satisfied" with the overall service received when reporting a problem.
A further 76 per cent of users said they thought the connection fault repair process is "above average".
PlusNet currently offers 8Mb broadband packages from £5.99 a month.
