The Essentials package from TalkTalk represents real value, for both Tiscali and non-Tiscali customers, it has been suggested.

TalkTalk recently dangled a carrot for Tiscali customers, promising £50 off a broadband contract over the first three months for subscribers making the switch.

Now Michael Phillips, Product Director at broadband comparison site Broadband Choices, has stressed that the Essentials package could be a money-saver whether or not Brits are signed up to Tiscali.

"Anyone wanting to cut down the cost of their broadband bills could save by switching," said Mr Phillips.

He went on: "TalkTalk offers one of the cheapest broadband bundles on the market and, with an extra £50 credit, broadband customers could make real savings."

As well as having a connection fee of £29.99 waived, Tiscali customers switching over to TalkTalk will pay a reduced monthly fee over the first quarter.
