Free broadband with exclusive Plusnet & Top10 incentive
Posted 2nd October 2009 at 9:09am by Jonathan Leggett
Plusnet and Top 10 Broadband have joined forces for an exclusive promotion offering consumers three months free broadband when they sign up for its award-winning packages.
Available now, the incentive applies on Plusnet’s Value, Unlimited and Pro broadband deals. To qualify for the offer, customers must first visit Top 10 Broadband’s dedicated Plusnet provider page. They can then choose a deal and enter the promotional code ‘Top10BBX8G’ when completing their purchase.
After the three-month introductory period has expired deals revert to standard pricing. This means that Value subscribers in areas served by more than one BT exchange – classified by PlusNet as Market 3 customers - will pay £5.99 per month. Those in locations where there is less competition among broadband providers – these are deemed to be Market 1 and 2 customers - are charged £11.99 monthly.
Meanwhile, after the initial three months of the contract term, people who reside in Market 3 areas pay £11.99 per month for the Unlimited package and £19.99 for the Pro deal. Those customers who live in Market 1 and 2 locations pay £19.99 per month for both the Pro and Unlimited packages.
The entry-level Value offering, which was recently named the UK’s best-value home broadband product at Top10’s recent awards ceremony, entitles users to a broadband connection speed of up to 8Mb. Plusnet also provides a free wireless router and a monthly download limit of 10GB.
More apt for heavier internet users and people who use the internet to download content extensively, is the Unlimited offering. This also provides a broadband speed of 8Mb and free wireless router. However, it differs from the Value deal by affording takers unlimited usage and a static IP address.
Finally, the Pro offering is ideal for gamers. This boasts an 8Mb connection, free wireless router and 15GB usage limit, a static IP address and 240 minutes of free VOIP calls per month. The Pro deal’s chief selling point to fans of online games is that gaming traffic is prioritised. As a result ‘ping’– the delay that can often make for a poor games-playing experience – is kept to a minimum.
Jessica McArdle, marketing manager at Top10, said: “Having won the Top 10 Broadband award for Best Value Home Broadband, Plusnet continue to push the boundaries of with their newly-launched three months free offer available exclusively to the UK’s largest broadband comparison site.”
