Sky increases customer base

Sky has revealed that its broadband, home phone and digital TV customer base has grown in recent months.
The company has announced in its trading update for the three months to September 30th that 2.3 million people are now on its broadband services, while 1.9 million are taking home phone services.
In addition, demand for Sky+HD has more than doubled over the past 12 months, while 17 per cent of the company's total customer base are now signed up to its triple play bundles.
Jeremy Darroch, Chief Executive of Sky, said: "In what continues to be a tough economic environment, we have increased the number of customers joining Sky.
"High definition has continued to perform very well and more customers are saving money by choosing Sky for each of TV, broadband and telephony."
The release of the financial results has come after it was revealed that online TV service Sky Player has been included on Microsoft's new Windows 7 platform.

Shame they're broadband is still so slow, though. What are you supposed to do when there's nothing on TV?
