Posted 5th November 2009 at 3:22pm by Oliver Folkard
Wi-Fi broadband services are now being offered on some Virgin Trains routes, it has been announced.
The transport company has revealed that T-Mobile has partnered with Nomad Digital to make the platform available to passengers that travel on Super Voyager trains between Birmingham and Scotland, as well as from London to Wales and Chester.
In addition, access to the HotSpot service will be complimentary for those who buy first class tickets.
Virgin Trains' Executive Director of Commercial Graham Leech said that broadband provider T-Mobile has a strong record of making such services available.
He added: "We're always looking at ways to improve the travel experience for our passengers so we're pleased to be able to answer their requests for access to the internet on our trains."
Last month, Breaking Travel News reported that Campanile Hotels is now offering all of its customers access to free Wi-Fi broadband services, after trials for the platform proved a success.
