TiVo 'coming to Virgin Media in autumn'
Posted 10th March 2010 at 2:55pm by Oliver Folkard
Subscribers to Virgin Media's broadband TV deals will have access to TiVo technology in the autumn, according to the company's Chief Executive.
Talking to attendees at the Cable Congress conference, Neil Berkett said the software, which is expected to increase the availability of interactive services, should be available to consumers before the end of 2010.
Broadband TV News reports that the head of the broadband provider added that the fundamental aspect driving the use of the technology is a desire to offer better services to consumers.
He explained: "We believe TiVo will supply the best user experience, Flash-based, and creating a new gateway to the digital world."
Earlier this week, Virgin Media announced that Film4 HD will launch exclusively on its digital TV platform in the summer.
E4 HD, which will feature shows including Hollyoaks and Glee, is also set to be introduced onto the company's broadcast service next month.
