3 urges iPad users to embrace Mi-Fi
Posted 15th July 2010 at 7:38pm by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
Tablet computer users can gain greater internet flexibility courtesy of 3's latest Mi-Fi device, the broadband provider has claimed.
In a new Metro ad, 3 claims that its Huawei mobile Wi-Fi dongle is an essential accessory for consumers with a Wi-Fi-only iPad.
The internet service provider explains that the device enables users to connect to the web outside the home by creating their own wireless broadband hotspot.
3 says this enables all tablet users to enjoy the benefits of "the UK's largest 3G network".
The Mi-Fi device offers a 5GB data allowance for £15 per month, and allows users to connect up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the internet.
Retailing for £39.99, the Huawei dongle has no wires, installation requirements or software, 3 explained.
Earlier this month, 3 reinstated the popular Samsung R530 laptop option with its mobile broadband deals.
