Posted 14th July 2010 at 2:47pm by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
Sky and Virgin Media are the UK's top internet service providers in terms of customer satisfaction, new research has revealed.
The report from Ofcom revealed that, in terms of overall satisfaction, Virgin Media and Sky both recorded scores of 66 per cent, which placed them ahead of rivals such as BT, TalkTalk and Tiscali.
Orange was found to rate lowest in satisfaction rate, with just 40 per cent of consumers claiming to be happy with the levels of service they receive, ISPreview.co.uk reports.
In addition, the Ofcom figures suggested that, overall, 60 per cent of broadband users are happy with the service they receive.
This compares to 58 per cent of landline customers and 66 per cent of pay TV subscribers.
Earlier this year, research by uSwitch.com suggested that O2 is the best broadband provider in the UK in terms of customer service.
Over 90 per cent of O2 subscribers said they were satisfied with their service.
