Virgin Media broadband customers to enjoy new football app
Posted 17th August 2010 at 5:40pm by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
Those who subscribe to the broadband services of Virgin Media can now enjoy a new online football app.
Called Sofa Stadium, the app helps those sat on their sofas with their laptops to feel like they are there enjoying the fun in the stadium.
Statistics are displayed as live Premier League football matches take place and those with the app can banter with fellow followers as the game unfolds, as well as vote for the best and worst players of the game.
Cindy Rose, executive director of digital entertainment at Virgin Media, said: "Sofa Stadium is the perfect place for armchair supporters, commentators and managers alike to get actively involved in football, and a brilliant way to bring together the multi-screen entertainment experience."
She went on to say that the app particularly complements Sky Sports HD, which is available on Virgin Media.
Those seeking a cheap 20MB broadband deal from Virgin Media had better act quickly as they can get two months for free, but only if they sign up before August 22nd.
