Be Broadband has launched a new initiative to raise money for cancer research, through its own take on the Movember campaign.

All this month, the Prostate Cancer Charity is urging males to grow a moustache to raise awareness of men's health issues around the disease.

Be Broadband is supporting the cause by pledging up to £10,000, based on the number of people who take part in its internet-themed MoDember promotion.

The internet service provider (ISP) is urging broadband users to dress up their modems with silly faces, moustaches included of course, and send pictures in to its Facebook page.

For every person user taking part, Be Broadband subscriber or otherwise, the ISP will donate £10 to the Movember campaign.

"We're looking forward to seeing those all those MoDems and giving away a bunch of cash in support of Movember," the firm stated.

"To take part, head over to the Be Broadband page at www.facebook.com/bebroadband and upload your photo to our wall."
