ISPA reveals 2011 Broadband Award nominees

The Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) has announced the nominees for its 13th annual industry awards.

Some 46 internet service providers (ISPs) have been nominated across 13 different categories, including major consumer broadband providers and smaller internet firms.

Shortlisted in the 2011 Best Consumer Fixed Broadband category are Be Broadband, KC, O2, Plusnet and Virgin Media.

And up for the Best Business Fixed Broadband gong are Demon, Fluidata, KC, NewNet, Timico and Urban Wimax.

O2, 3, Timico, Vodafone and Exa Networks will slug it out for the Best Mobile Broadband award, while one of ask4, Be Broadband, KC, MacAce, O2 and Plusnet will be named as the Best Consumer Customer Service ISP.

Among the other categories in the ISPA Awards 2011 are Best Internet Telephony, Best Dedicated Hosting, Best Shared Hosting and Access Innovation.
