Tiscali has agreed a monumental deal with BSkyB to make Sky’s basic channels such as Sky One and Sky News available through their new Tiscali TV platform.

The complete set of Sky channels includes Sky Two, Sky Three, Sky Travel and Sky Sports News, all of which will be available by the end of the summer. This deal will allow Tiscali TV subscribers’ access to Top premium shows such as 24, Lost, The Simpsons and Prison Break.

We're delighted that Tiscali has chosen to invest in our suite of basic channels and use them to differentiate its expanding TV service," said Mike Darcey, Sky's chief operating officer. "Sky is always looking for new ways to make quality programming available to a wide range of customers, both through our own platform and by working with others."

This news is surely going to upset current Virgin Media TV Subscribers who had their basic Sky channels removed earlier in the year due to a high profile disagreement between Virgin Media and BSkyB regarding payment terms.
