Broadband provider 3 has given its USB modems a fashionable makeover in the form of two limited edition designs.

Employing modern, sleek styling that recalls the very best of Apple's applications, the modems are being marketed as His and Hers models.

The 'Rose' model is a modish new-rave-style neon pink, while its male counterpart is all black and is called 'Noir'.

Buyers will be able to download up to 1GB of data for a charge of £10 per month.

This equates to trawling the internet for 30 hours, downloading two half-hour long videos, sending 650 text-only e-mails and downloading 60 songs every month, according to 3, with users accessing the internet via 3's network of mobile telephone masts.

The modems are available on the network's websites as well as in 3 stores nationwide.
