Smaller broadband providers have once again triumphed in PC Pro's awards for the best ISPS in the country.

Zen beat out opposition from its larger, more illustrious peers to be named the best UK broadband provider for the fourth year running in a survey of readers of PC Pro magazine.

The ISP performance in the survey was helped by its approval rating with its existing customers, some 95 per cent of whom are prepared to recommend its broadband service to a friend.

Completing the double for smaller ISPs meanwhile, was Madasafish which came in just behind Zen for the second year in a row.

Among the broadband packages available from Zen are the small business and home office package which provides up to 8Mbps downstream from £15.31 per month, as well as a package designed for medium and large businesses and a residential broadband offer.
