Be Broadband's new gaming portal will put subscribers at an advantage over other online players who are not signed up to the service, according to one expert.

David Allen of Tech Watch has suggested that the feature launched by the gamer-friendly provider will aid video game fanatics in beating their internet competitors.

Be Broadband launched the new website last month for testing by its customers and has already begun refining the final product.

Mr Allen said: "Be Broadband say that their service is excellent for online gamers because of the industry leading ping times.

"This means that the gamer will have a slight advantage over the other players in the game, which could be the difference between winning and losing."

In addition to the setting up of the portal, Be Broadband has continued in its efforts to foster close relationships with the gaming industry, including companies such as Enemy Down.
