O2 news

The sales of O2 laptop broadband deals have been unexpectedly slow, according to employees at the mobile broadband provider's outlets.

Several members of staff spoke to Mobile News after the first few days of trying to shift the units along with long-term mobile broadband contracts.

Going off the comments of one O2 worker, a lack of advertising may have been the reason for the poor sales.

The unnamed employee told the news provider: "No one knows about the offers in store, so they are not coming in. Our new prepay promotion has had a lot of interest, and it seems O2 is happy to concentrate on that instead for now."

While another chipped in: "O2 expected all stores to be sold out by midday, this certainly never happened and the weekend was just as bad."

Customers opting for 24-month mobile broadband deals have the option of picking up the Samsung NC10 or the Samsung R510.
