Consumers who sign up for Sky’s broadband and TV packages will be given a free £50 Tesco voucher, as part of a brand new incentive from the UK’s fourth-largest broadband provider.
The limited-period deal is available on four Sky Broadband and TV packages, all of which run over 12 months and offer a monthly download limit of 2GB and a broadband connection speed of up to 2MB. Consumers who opt for the entry-level TV and broadband deal get a free wireless router and a TV pack of their choice, as well as free UK evening and weekend calls for £16.50 per month.
Alternatively, they can opt for a package priced £46 per month, which includes a free wireless router and free evening and weekend calls, but adds six TV packs and Sky’s sports mix & movies pack. A cheaper version of this broadband package is on offer, which includes six TV packs as well as the other components of the more expensive deal, but omits the sports mix & movies pack for £22 per month.
Finally, the Tesco incentive is available as well on Sky’s £36 per month deal. This includes a free wireless router, four entertainment packs, one premium TV pack as well as free evening and weekend deals.
Sky’s TV packs group together themed content that are tailored to the customers’ tastes. Currently, options include the Knowledge pack, which groups together history and nature programming as well as documentaries, and the Children’s pack, which features cartoons and educational shows. Customers can choose the deals that most closely match their tastes and ensure they only pay for programming they want.
Sky has enjoyed strong take-up for its cheap broadband and TV bundles in recent months, as customers become more and more cost-conscious. In February, the provider confirmed that it had added 163,000 new broadband subscribers, taking its total customer base to 1.96 million.
