Mobile broadband is about more than just speed, according to a leading internet service provider.
3 has stated, in a response to research criticising the quality of mobile broadband speeds, that the breadth and reliability of coverage are as important as the speed of a subscriber's connection.
In addition, the company said that it has spent a large amount of time trying to push "for clear and realistic messaging" in terms of the mobile broadband speeds featured on advertising.
The provider added: "We already offer our customers Britain's biggest mobile broadband network and we're working hard to connect more people in more places and add capacity where people use it most.
"It's not just about speed, it's about access, convenience and the mobility offered."
Earlier this month, 3 launched its new Mi-Fi service, which allows users to connect a range of devices to the internet via a wireless broadband connection anywhere that is covered by its mobile network.
