Telecoms giant KC is attempting to bring some Christmas cheer to households in east Yorkshire through a new broadband offer.
The firm, which provides broadband deals in Hull and the surrounding area via internet service provider Karoo, is offering free access to the web over the Christmas weekend.
KC has announced that subscribers will be able to make unlimited downloads for no charge between midnight on December 23rd and midnight on Boxing Day.
As a result, consumers will be able to catch up TV shows they may have missed online, or even download festive films and their favourite Christmas songs.
The offer applies to customers registered with the Karoo Lite, Mid and Pro broadband deals – meaning local residents wanting to take advantage of the offer have three weeks to sign up with KC.
All customers will also receive half-price international calls during the special offer period, allowing them to contact loved ones in other parts of the world over Christmas.
Earlier this week, it was announced that KC had upgraded Walkington's 1Mb broadband connection using fibre-to-the-kerb technology.
Consumers living in the village, which lies four miles away from the Beverly telephone exchange, will now be able to download at speeds of up to 15Mb.
