Households aiming to have Sky TV and broadband services installed in time for Christmas risk severe disappointment if they sign up after today.

With families across the UK eagerly registering for broadband bundles, aiming to have access to festive films, TV and online catch-up services, Sky's installation teams face a race against time to fit everyone in.

And with the broadband provider wishing to avoid disappointing new subscribers, it has imposed a deadline of Friday December 17th for new pre-Christmas orders.

Sign up after today and households could be stuck with terrestrial television and unreliable dial-up internet over the Christmas weekend - guaranteed to put a dampener on the seasonal festivities.

And with Sky currently offering free Sky+ boxes - which allow viewers to pause, rewind and record live TV - with its 20Mb broadband bundles, there is even more incentive to subscribe as soon as possible.

Consumers registering with the internet service provider can consolidate their subscription TV, home phone and internet services onto a single monthly bill, reducing costs and improving their user experience.
