Virgin Media news

Households signing up for a Virgin Media broadband deal this month can enjoy significant savings on their start-up costs, it has been reported.

From today (January 1st 2011), the internet service provider is offering free installation on a number of its broadband packages – enabling new customers to save £40 instantly.

The New Year offer applies to all of Virgin Media's 10Mb, 20Mb and 50Mb dual bundles, which feature broadband, home phone and and/or TV services.

Consumers taking out a triple bundle – subscribing for internet, evening and weekend calls and subscription television – can also save money through a free set-up.

However, households only seeking up to 10Mb broadband must register with Virgin Media over the internet in order to qualify for the free installation, worth £40.

Meanwhile, consumers signing up for Virgin Media broadband, TV and calls on a minimum 18-month contract can still benefit from the firm's ongoing half-price offer.

Discount services are available for the first six months to all customers registering by January 31st 2011.
