Three news

Internet service provider (ISP) 3 has added three of the hottest new tablets to its broadband deal range.

Consumers seeking mobile broadband services with the firm can now sign up for a Samsung Galaxy Tab, Commtiva N700 or Dell Inspiron Duo.

The tablets are available to consumers signing up for internet services online and in 3 stores throughout February, and represent "affordable choices" for those seeking a touchscreen computer.

David Kerrigan, Head of Mobile Broadband at 3, said that with the tablet market "going from strength to strength", the ISP was proud to be offering three of the most popular products.

"These devices are ideal to take out and about with you and our generous data allowances and great coverage mean you can keep using your tablet whenever you need it," he stated.

"In today's world of increasing data use, tablet owners need to feel confident that their network can provide the coverage and speed needed to support their browsing, online buying and social media habits."

Mr Kerrigan said that following 3's recent multi-million pound network investment, the ISP is ideally placed to provide broadband deals to tablet users.

Consumers signing up for a Commtiva N700 broadband deal are required to pay £99 up front, and then £25 a month for 15GB mobile broadband data on a 24-month contract.

3 is the first ISP to stock the sleek new tablet – which comes with a 7" capacitive touchscreen, an Android 2.2 FroYo operating system, a 3MP camera and 4GB microSD card.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Tab costs an initial £199, then £25 per month for 15GB of data over 24 months.

Key features include a 7.0" capactive touchscreen and Android 2.2FroYo operating system, a 1.0 GHz processor, 16 GB storage, front and rear-facing cameras for video calls and HD Playback.

Finally, the dual functioning Dell Inspiron Duo - which can be used either as a laptop or a tablet, courtesy of a unique flip-hinge device – is available for £49.99, then £41.52 a month for 5GB of data over two years.

The computer comes with an Intel Atom N550 Dual Core processor, a 10.1 HD Screen, 2GB of RAM, a 320 GB hard drive, Windows 7 Home Premium and a 1.3MP webcam.
