Internet service provider (ISP) TalkTalk is to give consumers more time to embrace its six months half-price broadband deal.

The broadband provider has chosen to extend the deadline for registrations, and the broadband deal will now expire on March 31st 2010.

UK households signing up for TalkTalk Essentials are able to pay just £3.49 per month for broadband and home phone services, rising to £6.99 from month four of their contract.

The deal includes access to up to 24Mb download speeds, a 40GB monthly usage allowance and unlimited evening and weekend calls to UK landlines.

Further savings are offered through the inclusion of a free wireless broadband router for all new customers, and a free installation and connection.

New TalkTalk customers are also able to access 24/7 customer service, with all calls answered by live agents within 15 seconds.

The ISP describes the Essentials deal as "an exceptional offer" which includes "fantastic" broadband pricing for UK consumers.
