Internet service provider (ISP) Plusnet has launched a new cut-price broadband and home phone offer.
The Yorkshire-based ISP is now offering its Value broadband package at half-price, meaning households can get high-speed internet access from just £3.24 per month.
Consumers signing up for Plusnet Value + Home Phone over the internet can receive a 50 per cent discount on their broadband deal for the first nine months of their contract.
This means they can save almost £30 on their broadband bills during their first year as a Plusnet subscriber.
Plusnet Value + Home Phone offers download speeds of up to 8Mb, with consumers able to take advantage of a 10GB monthly usage allowance.
In addition, they have access to unlimited overnight downloads, meaning web users can stream online video without going over their data limit.
As well as free IT security software, Plusnet Value + Home Phone subscribers receive a complementary wireless broadband router, enabling them to log onto the internet anywhere in the home.
Evening and weekend calls to UK landlines are included with the broadband package, with consumers able to phone 0870 and 0845 calls for free.
Consumers seeking a higher peak time usage allowance have the option of subscribing to Plusnet Extra.
Plusnet Extra Broadband and Calls offers a 60GB monthly usage allowance, alongside 8Mb download speeds and free evening and weekend calls.
Prices start at £11.49 per month for this higher-tier broadband package, with a line rental fee of £11.99 also applying.
