Plusnet news

Plusnet has celebrated the start of its first ever TV sponsorship deal by launching a special new broadband deal.

For the next three weeks, the broadband provider is sponsoring Channel 5's revamped reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother.

And in line with this ongoing promotion, Plusnet is offering six months' half-price home phone and broadband services.

Running alongside the firm's existing 12 months' half-price deal on Plusnet Value broadband, the firm is offering a 50 per cent discount on Extra broadband with evening and weekend or anytime calls.

Plusnet Extra offers up to 20Mb downloads, a 60GB usage allowance, unlimited overnight usage and a free wireless broadband router which ordinarily retails at £40.

Free McAfee security, 24/7 customer support and a free activation worth £25 is also included with the broadband package.

Households signing up for Extra Broadband with Evening & Weekend calls can pay just £5.74 per month for the first half-year of their contract.

Those seeking unlimited anytime landline calls pay £9.24 per month for the first six months, rising to £14.99 in month seven.

Customers are not tied to an annual contract on either tariff - meaning they have complete flexibility with their broadband and home phone services.

Should they wish to switch broadband provider they simply need to give notice and adhere to Plusnet terms and conditions.

UK households have until February 3rd to take advantage of the current Plusnet broadband offer - the end of the current series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Among the D-listers entering the house last week were Natalie Cassidy - best known as Sonia in EastEnders – X Factor bad boy Frankie Cocozza, and Kirk Norcross from ITV2's The Only Way is Essex.

Welsh rugby legend Gareth Thomas, actress Denise Welch and Hollywood star Michael Madsen are among the other contestants.
