TalkTalk has added to the appeal of its Essentials home phone and broadband package with a £25 gift certificate.

Consumers signing up for the firm's entry-level broadband deal are now entitled to a complementary Love2Shop voucher.

The high street gift voucher is accepted at over 20,000 UK stores, giving consumers the opportunity to grab themselves a New Year bargain.

Even without a £25 Love2Shop gift voucher, the current TalkTalk Essentials broadband offer is highly attractive to UK households.

Consumers signing up for broadband and unlimited evening and weekend calls can take advantage of a 12-months' half-price promotion.

This means they can pay just £3.25 per month plus a line rental fee for internet services and calls.

Households will gain access to the fastest ADSL broadband speeds available in their location, while they will have a 40GB per month usage allowance.

A free wireless broadband router adds to the savings possible with the broadband deal, and ensures users can access the web on any device, anywhere in the home.

TalkTalk is also offering a free connection worth £30 to all Essentials customers, helping them to save money on their setup.

As part of the unlimited evening and weekend calls offer, consumers are able to call 0870 and 0845 numbers for free.

Deal subscribers also receive a ten per cent discount on calls to their top 16 mobile and international numbers.

For an extra £5 per month, they can bolt on a 500 mobile minutes boost to their broadband package.

All TalkTalk broadband subscribers receive access to the Homesafe service, which offers free network level security.
