TalkTalk remains committed to delivering exceptional customer value, according to Communications Director Mark Schmid.

Writing on the company blog, he said the firm has always tried to make broadband services affordable to UK homes and businesses.

Mr Schmid said TalkTalk seeks to make the wealth of knowledge and information available online accessible and affordable for all.

"We are determined to keep our costs low, and pass the savings to customers," he stated.

"That's because the less it costs to get online, the more people will get connected."

Mr Schmid explained that TalkTalk's network now covers more than 90 per cent of Britain, offering affordable broadband, home phone and line rental services.

He claimed that once families get online, they can use the internet to enjoy annual savings of on average more than £3,000.

At present, UK consumers can enjoy three months' free service when signing up for the TalkTalk Essentials and TalkTalk Plus broadband packages.
