Plusnet is now giving consumers the chance to receive six months' half-price home broadband and calls.

Households signing up for the firm's Value and Extra broadband packages with call services can enjoy a 50 per cent discount for the first half-year of their 12-month contract.

And this gives consumers the opportunity to make a significant saving on broadband and calls during the remainder of 2012.

At entry-level, Plusnet subscribers can currently pay just £3.24 per month plus line rental for the firm's Value Broadband & Talk package.

This offers access to up to 16Mb download speeds, a 10GB usage allowance, a free wireless broadband router plus evening and weekend calls.

Subscribers can also make unlimited downloads between midnight and 8am - as they can across all Plusnet broadband deals.

Plusnet Value Broadband & Talk Anytime offers the same features for an initial price of £6.74 per month, but with consumers able to make landline calls throughout the week.

Consumers seeking a greater monthly usage allowance can currently sign up for Plusnet Extra Broadband and Talk for £5.74 per month, rising to £11.49 per month after six months.

With this deal, they receive access to up to 16Mb downloads, a 60GB usage allowance, a free wireless broadband router, and evening and weekend calls.

For those seeking a 60GB usage allowance and inclusive calls at peak time, Plusnet Extra Broadband & Talk Anytime is initially priced at £9.24 per month, rising to £14.99 per month.

Free service activation worth £25 is included with each of the broadband deals, adding to the savings possible with a Plusnet broadband package this summer.

All households are requires to pay a £12.99 per month line rental fee, however they can reduce this to £9.49 per month by paying in advance over the internet.
