Plusnet has launched a new television advert to promote its super-fast fibre broadband offering.

The new ad - which is set to run until November 23rd - is described by the firm as "a cross between the blockbuster movies 'Days of Thunder' and 'Talladega Nights'".

It features a wide range of characters, from an ice cream seller and learner driver, to main character Joe and his dad driving vehicles at high-speed.

The advert highlights the benefits of super-fast broadband and the fact that more UK households can get faster speeds affordably with Plusnet Fibre.

Nick Rawlings, Commercial and Marketing Director at Plusnet, explained that this is the first time Plusnet has promoted its fibre product on TV.

"We're excited to be introducing an up to 76Mb broadband product at a market leading price," he stated.

"Plusnet really wants people to get super-fast at a super price."

The broadband provider recently launched the new Plusnet Extra Fibre deal, which offers up to 76Mb download speeds and a 250GB usage allowance from £19.99 per month.
