YouView has released two 'behind the scenes' videos explaining the thinking behind its new TV advertising campaign.

The new YouView ad, which highlights the benefits of seven-day catch-up TV services and on-demand content, debuted on ITV during X Factor on Saturday September 7th.

It will be shown across a number of television channels, including Channel 4 and Five.

In the advert, two pairs of feet and a TV set are seen travelling back in time during the week, visiting the supermarket, aerobics class, and the pub.

The ad carries the strapline 'catch up with your feet up' - highlighting the benefits of being able to watch content at your convenience.

In the first 'behind the scenes' clip, filmed on location at Black Island Studios in Acton, YouView's Head of Marketing Steve Conway explains the thinking behind the advertising campaign.

The second clip sees creatives Laura Muse and James Kemp discuss the advert concept in a little more detail, and explain how the idea has been brought to life.

"We are really pleased with our new ‘catch up with your feet up’ advertising campaign and Albion has done a great job of bringing the creative to life," said Mr Conway.

"We feel the campaign clearly demonstrates YouView’s seven-day scroll-back feature and just how easy our catch up service is to use, while still being engaging and entertaining."
