Vodafone news

Vodafone is continuing to extend the reach of its super-fast mobile broadband network.

The firm's 4G services are now available in 304 cities and large towns across the UK, meaning a growing proportion of the population can take advantage.

Vodafone has passed the half a million mark with its 4G subscribers, and the number of people signing up for next-generation mobile services continues to increase.

The service provider has pledged to invest £1 billion in its UK network infrastructure over the coming years, and 4G forms and important part of these plans.

Vodafone is also investing in its 2G and 3G networks, but the firm's 4G download speeds are typically six times faster than those available via 3G.

This means consumers can take advantage of high-bandwidth online services - such as video - via their mobile broadband connection.

Vodafone began the rollout of its 4G network in the UK just over 12 months ago, on August 29th 2013.
