TalkTalk has launched a new, money-saving calling app that allows customers to use their landline minutes on the move.

With the Talk2Go app, all TalkTalk customers can make and receive calls whilst out and about on 3G or 4G mobile data or over Wi-Fi.

These calls are charged at the same rate as if the consumer is at home using their landline.

This means that if their home broadband deal includes anytime minutes, mobile calls made to UK numbers via Talk2Go will be free of charge.

Talk2Go also includes a 'Follow Me' feature which transfers calls from a customer’s landline to their mobile.

Customers can pair their TalkTalk landline with up to four mobile devices.

Tristia Harrison of TalkTalk, said: "We’re always looking for new ways to help keep bills low and Talk2Go is a brilliant little app that does just that.

"A lot of people may have a landline package they’re not necessarily making the most of; we want to help everyone get the best value from their calling plans."

She said Talk2Go is "a great way" of making landline minutes go a little further.

Ms Harrison said this means customers never have to miss a call to their landline again.

"It cuts the cost of mobile calls and helps families stay in touch without racking up big bills," she stated.
