A new television ad for EE TV receives its debut tonight (Wednesday February 25th), as the service provider launches its biggest ever TV campaign.
The 40-second clip - which will air for the first time during prime time coverage of the Brit Awards 2015 on ITV 1 - sees Hollywood A-lister Kevin Bacon appear alongside Gogglebox stars Christopher Steed and Stephen Webb.
In the ad, Bacon arrives by helicopter at the Brighton home of TV-loving duo Steed and Webb before joining them on the sofa to chat about EE TV.
The actor explains it is now possible to record four programmes at once, and to 'flick' programmes from tablets or mobiles onto the TV screen.
Bacon then requests a viewing of the Gogglebox star Steed's famous pink shorts, before making a dramatic exit in the helicopter.
According to EE, the new ad is designed to show that EE TV is "the perfect fix" for families who often fight over the remote.
EE's Spencer McHugh explained that people with varied tastes can watch up to four different programmes, in four different rooms, on four different devices all at the same time.
"This is a major launch for EE," the operator's Director of Brand noted.
"The opportunity to place Hollywood star Kevin Bacon alongside down-to-earth TV-lovers Christopher and Stephen in their now-famous Brighton home was a no brainer to showcase the benefits of this fantastic new product."
The Gogglebox stars said "it's not every day a Hollywood superstar stops by for a cup of tea and to watch some TV".
They noted that television is "a massive part" of their lives, but they often find themselves having to choose between programmes.
"EE TV has some really cool features that mean we can now watch what we want, when we want, whatever room we are in," Steed and Webb added.
An extended 60-second version of the advert will be hosted on EE’s YouTube channel.
