This Sunday marks the biggest event on the wrestling calendar, when the WWE holds its annual 'showcase of the immortals' - Wrestlemania.
This year's event is the 31st staging of the sports entertainment spectacular, with a host of big matches taking place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, including the main event between 2015 Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar has enjoyed arguably the most dominant 12 months in WWE history, during which he did the unthinkable and broke The Undertaker's 21-match Wrestlemania streak, destroyed John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam, retained at Night of Champions, and defeated both Cena and Mr Money in the Bank Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble in a Match of the Year candidate.
However, he will have his work cut out against Reigns this Sunday, with the former Shield member enjoying a dominant run of his own that has seen him win the Royal Rumble match, defeat former WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan in a number one contender's match at Fastlane, and generally run roughshod over his opponents thanks to his feared spear and Superman punch.
It means that many fans are on the fence heading into Sunday's encounter, much like the match between Bray Wyatt and the man whose streak Lesnar ended at Wrestlemania XXX - The Undertaker.
The Deadman has not been seen since suffering his first loss at the biggest show of the year, and many think the heir apparent to his throne will be victorious on Sunday. Wyatt's sinister promos and behaviour leading up to the event have been reminiscent of Taker himself, and so all is to play for come match time.
For many years, wrestling fans dreamed of a match between The Undertaker and his WCW counterpart Sting, with both men seen as the franchise players of their respective promotions, but after finally making his WWE debut at Survivor Series 2015, the Stinger will first have to navigate 13-time World Champion and WWE COO Triple H at the Showcase of the Immortals.
After costing the Authority their seat of power at Survivor Series, Sting has been a constant thorn in Triple H's side as he aims to right the authority's wrongs, and so plenty will be at stake come Sunday when the vigilante finally wrestles his first match proper in Vince McMahon's company.
With plenty of other bouts taking place - including the US Championship match between John Cena and reigning champion Rusev, a six-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, and a grudge match between the viper Randy Orton and his former Authority stablemate Seth Rollins, plus special musical appearances from LL Cool J, Travis Barker and many more, WWE Wrestlemania 31 is shaping up to be the best yet.
