EE's broadband customers will soon be able to get their hands on a free EE Power device - a portable smartphone charger with unlimited swaps.
All active EE customers, including fixed-line, mobile and mobile broadband subscribers, will be able to pick up a free power bar in-store when the scheme launches in the coming weeks.
EE is aiming to ensure mobile users are never left without battery charge for their devices when they are out and about.
Subscribers will be able to pick up a free Power Bar in any EE store, simply by requesting a unique code via text.
Once the EE Power Bar has been used to charge a device, customers can recharge the portable battery themselves or, alternatively, swap it for a replacement bar.
Pippa Dunn, Chief Marketing Officer at EE, said almost everyone has experienced the frustration associated with running out of battery.
"It always seems to happen when you need your phone the most," she claimed.
"With EE Power, we’re trying to help by giving our customers a Power Bar that can simply be swapped for a fully charged one at any of our stores, at any time, for free."
