Virgin Media news

Virgin Media is reportedly set to offer a six-month discount on its standalone superfast 50-200 Mbps cable broadband packages.

The bundles, which don't require customers to take out a separate phone service, are rarely subjected to discounts, with this latest offer only available until December 30th 2015.

It means Virgin's Super 50 Fibre Broadband deal is now priced at £19.99 a month for six months, at which point it will rise to £30.25 a month.

The VIVID 100 Fibre Broadband deal comes in at £24.99 a month for six months (£35.25 a month thereafter), while the VIVID 200 Fibre Broadband bundle is now priced at £32.99 a month for six months (£43.25 a month thereafter).

Each package is subject to a 12-month contract term and includes a SuperHub wireless router, unlimited usage, access to Virgin’s WiFi hotspots, security and Parental Controls, email, 5GB of online storage and free self-install with QuickStart (although this comes in at £49.99 if your property doesn’t have cable infrastructure).

The service is only available in areas served by Virgin's EuroDOCSIS3 cable network, which currently covers between 45 and 50% of the UK.
