Sky Sports Mix is to launch on Wednesday August 24th, offering a taste of Sky's wide-ranging sports coverage to customers who don't subscribe to Sky Sports.
The channel, which is available for no extra charge to all Sky TV customers and can be accessed on tablets and smartphones via the Sky Go service, will be located at 407 next to Sky Sports News HQ and aims to showcase sports not typically covered on television.
An average of five hours of live action will be broadcast each day across the first month, with 16 different sports being covered in that time. Among the sports the channel will cover are cricket, rugby union, rugby league, golf and football.
The line-up also includes sports documentaries and sports entertainment shows.
Highlights of the schedule include the one-day cricket international between England and Pakistan on August 24th, live European Tour golf on August 25th and 26th and a live MLS match between Toronto and Montreal Impact on August 28th.

Sky added that the launch of the new channel with further bolster Sky Sports' position as the "first choice" for sport across a range of channels and products.
