The Post Office has confirmed that it has switched to all-inclusive pricing, ahead of the introduction of new guidelines.
Line rental and broadband costs are being presented in a single figure, ahead of all-inclusive pricing guidelines from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) coming into place on October 31st.
Other broadband providers have taken similar steps to avoid falling foul of the rules and offer greater clarity to customers, with EE confirming a switch to all-inclusive pricing earlier this week.
The ASA is introducing the rules as a recent study jointly carried out with Ofcom found that consumers often struggled to calculate the actual cost of a contract when different costs such as broadband and line rental charges were presented separately.
Figures also revealed that people regularly got confused if certain figures were displayed more prominently than others.
