BT Sport is offering 360° highlights and instant replays from multiple events available on its app.
Action from competitions including the Premier League, the Uefa Champions League, the FA Cup and World Title boxing will be accessible in this format.
At least 20 sporting events will be shown in 360° by June 2018 and can be enjoyed either with or without a VR headset.
This means viewers will be able to experience the action from angles not typically seen in broadcast, as well as rewatch key incidents as sporting events unfold.
All the highlights and replays are accessible alongside standard replays on the BT Sport App
Jamie Hindhaugh, Chief Operating Officer at BT Sport, commented: "This is another first for 360° broadcasting.
"It’s another step forward in broadcast innovation that will give BT Sport the best possible viewing experience and shows BT Sport continues its commitment to be at the heart of this."
Mr Hindaugh added that BT Sport is passionate about both sport and technology. This, he said, is why it wants to continue exploring new ways of combining them for the benefit of viewers to "bring them closer to the action".
BT Sport showed last season's Uefa Champions League final with 360°streams on YouTube and the BT Sport App, with users having the option of choosing either own camera viewpoint or a 360° produced programme with commentary and graphics.
This, it said, demonstrates how innovation has "been at the heart of BT Sport since its launch in 2013".
