BT has unveiled a series of new broadband deals in the runup to Christmas that will offer new customers a free Google Chromecast device, as well as a prepaid debit card.
The Chromecast lets users stream video content from their smartphone or tablet directly to their TV, and could turn any TV into a smart device able to receive the likes of Netflix, YouTube and BT Sport.
It usually retails for £30 and will be available on a range of the firm's fibre broadband deals when users add the BT Sport app to their deal.
Consumers can pick it up on the Superfast Fibre Essential package, which offers unlimited downloads and UK weekend calls, speeds of 36Mbps, BT Virus Protect on two devices, parental controls and 200GB of cloud storage. This costs £29.99 for an 18-month contract, plus a £29.99 setup fee.
Those choosing this deal will also receive a prepaid BT Reward Mastercard worth £70 to spend wherever they like.
The free Chromecast is also available on the Superfast Fibre deal, which costs £34.99 a month for 18 months, plus a £9.99 delivery fee for the equipment. This increases the speed of the connection to 50Mbps and also comes with a £100 BT Reward Card.
Finally, there is the Superfast Fibre 2 package, which ups the download speed again to 67Mbps and provides BT Virus Protect on 15 devices, as well as 1000GB of cloud storage. This costs £45.99 a month for 18 months, plus £9,99 delivery, and includes a £130 BT Reward card.
All these deals end at midnight next Friday (December 21st), so users will have to act fast.
