*The "up to" speed displayed in Mb is the maximum possible speed you are likely to receive for this product. The actual speed you will get depends on your cabling, your area and (with non-fibre optic products) time of day and how far you are from the telephone exchange. Most providers will tell you the likely speed you will receive when you begin your online sign up - this may differ from the speed displayed in the table.

The deals available at your postcode are subject to local availability. The provider will confirm availability for your line.

We aim to take the strain out of broadband comparison. Good broadband deals aren't just about the price, it's also about what's included in the product, the speeds offered and any extra incentives providers are offering. To balance all of these, we have developed a ranking formula that takes into account deals that are proving to be popular with our customers, that are competitive in the maket and have a smooth switching process.

If you prefer, you can sort deals by the average monthly cost, which is all of the costs - including any compulsory upfront costs such as router delivery or installation fee - divided by the length of the contract. Or you can sort by the total contract cost for all packages which let’s you see the total spend for the whole contract period

uSwitch services are provided at no cost to you, but we may receive a commission from the companies we refer you to.

BT Sport combines live Premier League football with coverage of the Aviva Premiership rugby, Moto GP, UFC and action from all the top European football leagues.

BT Sport's major selling point compared with some rival sports broadcasters is that its completely free to BT broadband customers.

BT's offering consists of three channels, namely BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN. These are free to all BT broadband customers.

However, there is one caveat to bear in mind. If broadband is the only BT service you subscribe to, you’ll only be able to watch BT Sport on your desktop or laptop computer, or on a tablet or smartphone. You will not be able to watch BT Sport on your TV.

If you want to enjoy BT Sport on your TV, you’ll need to be a BT TV customer too, with either a YouView or Vision set top box.

BT Sport or Sky Sport: which is best?

The line-up of programming on BT sports channels is enviable. But it’s not quite as extensive as Sky Sports, which features a massive range of marquee sports events across five channels [Sky Sports 1-4 and the Sky F1 channel), as well as a dedicated sports news channel.

To see how they compare in full, check out our dedicated Sky Sports vs BT guide.

However, what is evident is that there’s a significant difference in price. While BT Sport is free to BT customers, subscribing to Sky Sports costs £21 per month.

I’m not with BT. Can I still get BT Sport tv?

That depends on the TV provider that you’re with. At the time of writing, Sky and Virgin Media customers can subscribe to BT Sport for an additional charge of £21 per month.

If you’re with TalkTalk, however, you cannot add BT Sport to your TV bundle. At the time of writing, TalkTalk has indicated it has no intention of offering BT Sport to its customers in future.

BT Sport HD

BT Sport offers HD versions of BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN to enjoy on HD televisions. Adding these to your package will incur a charge of £3 per month for BT broadband and BT TV customers.

BT Sport 3D

3D versions of BT Sport channels do not exist, because this technology is not currently supported by BT’s YouView box. However, this may change in future.
