The Samsung i8000 Omnia 2 will sport an 8.1 megapixel camera and a large 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, it has emerged.
Specifications for the handset were disclosed by a Lithuanian online retailer which has pictured the new mobile phone on its site, suggesting that its launch could be imminent.
The site also revealed that the i8000 Omnia 2 will boast Samsung’s Cubic user interface, microSD and 3G support and will employ the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.
Samsung has yet to confirm a release date or UK carriers for the new mobile phone, but it is widely anticipated that it will appear at some stage during the third quarter.
Earlier this year, a handset with the working title Omnia HD was set for release but was renamed the i8910 HD just prior to being launched.
Available now on Top 10 Mobile Phones, the i8910 HD offers buyers the chance to view and capture video in high definition as well as a document viewer for e-mail, HSDPA support for fast downloads and 8GB of internal memory.
