Samsung has become the latest mobile phone manufacturer to unveil a watch mobile phone.
Dubbed the Samsung S9110, the new mobile phone will be launched initially in France and will boast Bluetooth, voice recognition, MP3 ringtones, vibration alert and a personal organiser.
The phone will also offer a range of messaging options, including email, SMS, MMS, and will house a 4.5cm touchscreen.
News of Samsung’s imminent entry into the watch phone market comes as LG’s rival offering the LG GD910
is due to land on Orange next month.
Available solely for a limited period, Orange has yet to confirm price points for the handset but has announced that it will be on offer "at an exclusive price point” on either Orange pay as you go or SIM-only.
Features of the LG GD910 include HSDPA support for fast downloads at up to 7.2Mb, video calling, Bluetooth and a 1.43-inch touchscreen.
However, both mobile phones have been beaten to market by the sWaP watch phone.
